DANDYS PARLOUR ARTS AND MUSIC was conceived in 2018 by a collective of local San Francisco artists and educators who recognized the need for a cohesive, interdisciplinary space where the city’s vibrant creative energy could be harnessed and developed outside of traditional institutional settings. The original ‘Parlour’ was a small, informal gathering space where musicians would jam and artists would share works-in-progress, quickly establishing a reputation for its open-door policy and the quality of the impromptu collaborations it hosted. This foundational spirit of radical inclusion and spontaneous creation became the blueprint for the professional organization we are today. The founders, driven by the core mission to inspire creativity and foster collaboration through diverse artistic expressions, formally incorporated as a non-profit and began the ambitious task of finding a permanent home that could sustain their expansive vision, ultimately securing our historic location at 2519 MISSION STREET, a building with its own deep roots in the Mission District’s artistic history.

DANDYS PARLOUR ARTS AND MUSIC offers a curated and comprehensive suite of programs designed to cover the full spectrum of creative development, ensuring that there is a pathway for every age and every interest, from absolute beginners to professional-level practitioners. Our offerings are divided into two primary tracks: the Visual Arts Track, which includes painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital media, and the Musical Arts Track, featuring instrumental and vocal instruction, music theory, composition, and sound engineering.
